4 Reasons to Use a VPN as a Social Media Manager

Social media has become a vital component of business plans for companies of all sizes. No longer is managing feeds and engaging with customers something added to the intern’s never-ending to-do list. Instead, larger companies have entire teams dedicated to keeping their followers up-to-date, and there’s absolutely no shortage of specialist freelancers to get the word out about you and your products.

Most of these dedicated social media workers know what they’re doing. However, a surprising number of them overlook one crucial tool that can help them reach their goals. It’s none other than a VPN. More commonly associated with accessing geo-filtered content and general data privacy, it can prove pivotal in taking your social media strategy to the next level. Here’s how:

1. Access Any Content from Anywhere

Any business that regularly posts on social media can struggle to come up with new ideas. Fortunately, there’s nothing wrong with sharing or repurposing content from others. Pictures, articles, and videos all fit the bill, but you don’t want to be subject to arbitrary restrictions when finding things that would be great for your social feeds.

Google Search Ranking Drop Quadrant

“Sean, I can’t find my site ranking anymore in the Top 10 in Google for ‘florida luxury homes’. What happened to my search rankings suddenly? Why have my Google rankings fallen so dramatically!”

“Why has traffic to my site suddenly dropped? I can’t find my site anywhere on Google?! What’s happening?”

Ask anyone who’s worked in the field of SEO for more than a couple of years and it’s more likely than not that he/she would’ve got an email like this from a client. You could find yourself in the same boat at any time and you want to be best prepared for it!

The world of SEO is complex and always subject to change. Nowadays, it’s become a fine art and requires a balance of both technical and creative strategies.

Google updates its search algorithm multiple times in a year with possible incremental changes happening every day. As an example, way back in February 2012, they made 40 updates to their algorithm within a single month.

Here’s an infographic on the 9 Major Google Algorithm Updates Every SEO Webmaster Must Know.

So, you see, there’s a lot of scope for change, and as such, it stands to reason that there are always random fluctuations in the SERPs. It happens all the time: one day your rankings are sky-high, and a few days later, you drop a dozen or so positions and your revenue starts to plummet.

Step 1: Pitch Better

If you do a Google Search for the perfect “SEO agency pitch” or “SEO proposal templates for clients“, you get over 3 million search results all claiming to have the magic formula for the ‘perfect pitch’. Being an ex-agency man myself, I can tell you that there’s no such thing. Successful pitches are done by agencies that don’t do one thing extraordinarily well, they do 10 things better than the competition. Here’s what I recommend.

To start with, here’s what a pitch typically looks like from both parties p.o.v.

SEO Agency Pitch

Even a fresh-faced intern can see the difference. I’ve seen agencies put in tremendous effort in developing the pitch. Collecting every scrap of information possible and spending agonizing hours on revision after revision only to lose the pitch in the end. So what’s going wrong? Is data not important?

Mondovo’s Upcoming Pricing Change on 3rd October, 2017

When we launched Pay-As-You-Go back in September 2016, we were convinced that greater value was the need of the hour. Having spent over 11 years in this industry, we’ve tried and used nearly every tool set from every company there is. The one takeaway that we most commonly got was the lack of flexibility. That’s where Mondovo’s pay-as-you-go model came in. We gave our users the flexibility to pay for just the reports they needed when they needed them.

Post launch, for the most part, we were successful. Mondovo gained more traction in a few months than it did in the entire year or so preceding it. However, what became clear was the business model was not sustainable because revenues were not predictable.

We do still want to offer the same value proposition that we’ve offered thus far and yet do it in a manner that’s sustainable in the long-run. We can only continue to give you better data and tools if we’re growing ourselves. Hence the impending change of moving over to a subscription based model BUT based on the same pay-as-you-go concept.

So, if you’ve been a user of our tool, everything would work in the same way, with the sole difference being that there will be a minimum monthly fee.

We are still going to be the most affordable toolset available. Our pricing and feature set remain unmatched.

16 Practical Restaurant Marketing Strategies to Drive More Customers to Your Restaurant in 2019 (Bonus Tip Added)

Get more customers to your restaurant
In 1995, less than 1% of the world population had an internet connection. Today, over 3.6 billion people use the internet. That’s more than 40% of the world population.

A huge chunk of this online population search for and find restaurants online. They look up menus, compare prices, go through reviews before going over to a restaurant or ordering food from there.

As per a 2016 Adweek survey, 25% of people have at least one restaurant app on their phone. As per another survey, 85% of those who search for food on their mobile phones go on to complete a purchase.

But they don’t stop at merely having discovered a restaurant that they might like, or after making a purchase.

Modern, tech-empowered consumers click pictures of the food that they have been served, go online to post their reviews, and share their experiences on social media—which in turn could enhance footfalls at your restaurants or dissuade people from further visiting your establishment.

The thing is whether you are online or not, your customers are. Talks veer around your restaurant, its ambiance, the food you serve, the service you offer, and more.

Look at the infographic below, these stats have been compiled from Toast’s Industry Report and Restaurant.org’s data:
